My basement is a bit cold in winter - around 19 degrees during the day and colder at night. I used this mat and had a good harvest. I used those littleRating
tomato paste cans to keep the substrate at a healthy distance. I feel safer leaving this plugged in for weeks than the cheap ones that you get on Amazon. (Posted on 2/24/2022) - good product

mat saved my farm as temperatures started to drop periodically to around 17-18 degrees indoors. Unfortunately, I do not consider the mat a perfect solution to the problem and the harvest will probably be smaller than if I decided to start growing in the summer. It looks like a few large mushrooms will sprout (e.g. after 4 days / second flush) and most of them are unfortunately tiny and growing very slowly.
