Noodzakelijk om je substraat te inoculeren met sporenwater of liquid culture. Ik prefereer om steeds nieuwe spuiten te gebruiken ipv bestaande te steriliseren om zo de kans op contaminatie tot een minimum te herleiden, en tot hiertoe steeds met succes. (Posted on 6/14/2022)Rating - Great value

It is really hard to get 10 ml syringes with the needle in the same wrapper. These syringes allow you remove a potential contamination route by having the needle connected to syringe prior to opening. One con is that you need to really force the needle on to get it to seal. If it isnt sealed than it might suck in contaminated air. I force mine ok with a pliers prior to opening. The quality trade off is worth the price and practicality. These are meant to be disposable but I reuse them a couple of times by putting them in the pressure cooker. They are wide 18 gauge needles suitable for liquid culture work.Rating

The syringes pictured are of the Terumo brand and these were excellent quality. My last order came with a different brand, BD, and these were not as good.Rating
The BD ones don't have a Luer fitting (just a taper) so the syringe can easily detach when removing the needle's sheath. When working in a Still Air Box where the visibility is maybe not so clear, this can lead to accidentally contaminating the needle with your fingers or pricking yourself if not careful (I've done this) when trying to fit it back on. The Luer fitting of the previous brand prevented this from happening because the needle is twisted and locked into place.

These are sterile and cheap enough to be disposable. I've had to throw away 4 x 1 litre of contaminated grain twice, so I'm stepping up my game with sterilisation. I was reusing my syringes before but these are so cheap I just use a new one each time. (Posted on 6/6/2020)Rating
