Initially, I was very skeptical regarding my abilities to operate a growkit; I am quite easily distracted and often kill my own plants due to forgetfulness and neglect. However, I found the entire procedure both straight forward and rather joyful. Be patient and prioritize hygiene, and your harvest shall be plentiful! I treated this kit with a lot of care, but had it accidentally steeply drop in temperature in the first couple of days at the window.Waardering
I'm currently at day 27 after having set it up, having gone through all the steps, precautions and everything, and there are no pins yet.
I reached out to the helpdesk about two weeks ago after more than a week of having it stand in a more stable condition, to ask them what was going on (it was day 11 then), and I was re-directed at the 'oh no, won't grow' page.
I read through it, realized the kit definitely had been 'unhappy', and that it may even be 'sleeping'. I stayed with the course I was on, and on 26 put it back in the fridge to 'wake it up' again.
If I don't see pins within 2 weeks, I will request a new kit, or a refund to purchase a Fresh Mushrooms kit instead, seeing as they are more forgiving.
However, I am pretty confident that I am able to grow them this time around pretty smoothly, although it troubles me that this kit remains dormant.
As for the strain, I love McKennaii's. This is in my opinion the best strain for solo travels at higher doses. You can experience language and sound manifesting as 'colours' right in from (and our of) your eyes. It is the 'language becomes manifest experience' Terence himself spoke (raved) about that occurs at higher doses (I.e. which could mean higher dimensions, or alternatively, all the time without us knowing/seeing it because of our '3D glasses'), which he also reports having witness in the DMT dimension of the 'Self Transforming Machine Elves'. The profession of those Elves is actually to make objects out of language, and they (allegedly) encourage us to do so too once you're with them.
I guess I took at least ten grams dried when I experienced that, but it may have been that those mushrooms lost a lot of their potency as they weren't stored airtight and I could get away with it without incurring temporal madness (like I did when I took 17 grams dried Golden Teachers that were freshly dried the day before). I made a definition of madness in that trip: 'Madness, the uninhibited exposure to infinity' - do with that what you will. Neurologically and psychologically it is very interesting, seeing as the Default Mode Network completely obliterates at such doses, and the Ego loses all of its grip.
As for these poor McKennaii's: I have dour expectations, but I will see how things turn out in the end.
In short, I'd recommend the Fresh Mushroom kits for their forgiving nature, and these for a bit more experienced growers.

The only negative i can come to think of is that that
They don’t use bubble plastic to wrap the product.
I’ve ordered McKennai. The first box came with the lid open,
Could have been the customs or just a bad job.
I’ve spoken with support and they sended me a new box.
Unfortinatly 2nd box came damaged, the plastic holder was broken.
I mailed the support and still waiting for a new one to be delivered.
I also have Mexican cubensis that I’ve ordered. Haven’t tried them out yet but they look really healthy and good. My first flush gave me around 14g dryed. The mushrooms are big and tall.
Another negative thing is that some “strains” have been out of stock for a very long time. I’d love me some golden teacher. But haven’t seen them being for sale for at least a year now.
Besides this, magic.m.shop is a really good plug ;)
Will definitely order more.
