What is Microdosing?
Microdosing is the regular use of tiny amounts of a psychedelic substance. For example, the substance Psilocybin in mushrooms and magic truffles. Tiny amounts are just above the threshold. As little as 0.3 grams, up to 1 gram for magic truffles.
It’s not the intent to actually trip but you want to take just enough active ingredient to help get your brain to work.
Microdosing is used either regularly, every other day or according to a microdosing schedule.
Every other day microdosing
A common microdosing schedule may look like this:
Day 1: MicroDose day,
Day 2: Effect day; feel (or don't feel) the effects of the microdose taken the day before
Day 3: rest day; no dose taken, effects wear off
Day 4: Microdose day; take your microdose again.
Follow this schedule for one month to 10 weeks to feel the effects. Repeat the same schedule the whole time. Stop if it does not feel right. Lower the dose if you feel strong effects, increase if you feel nothing at all.
The Stamets Stack
Paul Stamets suggests a dosage protocol of five days on, two days off. The two days off prevent you from building up tolerance. He suggests combining psilocybin with and niacine.
- Mushrooms or truffles = 0.1 - 1 gram
- = 5 - 20 grams.
- Niacin = 100 - 200 mg
During this time, continue to do what you normally do, study, go to work, do the household chores etcetera. Keep your daily routine as normal as possible. Make notes and reflect on how and what you feel during the time you are microdosing.

I've already completed two 8-week cycles with this product (18gr). The quality and taste have remained consistnet every time (I haven't tried other vendors). My anxiety drops to a 1 on a 1-10 scale, and after the second cycle, it feels like it stays low even without shrooms. I do integration via journaling, goal-settings, and meditation. Now that the 1-month tolerance reset is over, I'm planning to buy another 18gr to continue the journey 8)Rating

The packaging is really practical. Started with 0.3g then 0.5g but in the end felt like 1g is a good dose for me. Always paused it for two days. Helped me focus and removed some brainfog for me.Rating
Wish there would be a little more potent strains in exactly this kind of packaging. The Atlantis strain maybe? Felt like the potency decreased a little over time, or maybe my brain adapted to it.

Microdosing is a personal thing, since each person has his/her own metabolism, working in it's own way. I've been experimenting with 1g, 1/2g, once every 3 days, 3 days in 2 days out, taking with an empty stomach, taking at lunchtime, taking in the evening, and so on. Now I think I'm reaching an optimal point (3/4 days in 2 days out, 1g at the end of the afternoon)...These truffles help me, indeed, to maintain a more truthful self (less bullshit) and a healthy emotional availability (even though that also comes with its challenges).
