VIDEO - Psychedelic Science: Magic Mushrooms

.

.

This video was produced by ''Reason TV'' and although it was produced in 2013, it is nevertheless still very much in tune with the actual state of affairs with Psychedelics; despite its illegal status, researchers have once again started studying the effects of psilocybin on humans, and that research is demonstrating the benefits of Magic Mushrooms for various serious illnesses,

But not only that... there is more!  Research is also demonstrating that we are biologically hardwired for having the kind of experiences that psychedelics can give us.  It is not just unique to mystics, it is part of human biology to have these integrative experiences that can really set the platform for remarkable personal change.

The video is only 5 minutes long, so give it a chance :-)

Why some therapists are risking arrest to heal trauma using psychedelics

.

Psychedelic

.

Decades ago, the government placed psychedelics in the same category as heroin and meth — drugs with a high potential for abuse and no legitimate medical purpose.  New research, however, is beginning to call the government’s hard line into question.

Research is demonstrating time and time again that there are real benefits with associated with the use of psychedelics to treat a broad range of neurological disorders, from depression and addiction to anxiety and even autism.

In the meantime, some therapist are not waiting for laws to catch up, there is a real need out there with trauma sufferers that need help.

Let's hope governments reverse this huge mistake they made more than 30 years ago now.

Drugs Don’t Cause Addiction: This Brilliant Animated Video Will Change Your View on Drugs Forever

.

Addiction

.

Do you still think addiction is caused solely because of drugs?  This video will make you think again.  Almost everything we think we know about addiction is wrong.

Many scientific studies that show that it is not actually drugs that cause addiction, there are other elements at play.

For example, if you break your hip, you will be given Diamorphine at the hospital to manage your pain.  Diamorphine is Heroin, it's in fact much stronger heroin than what any addict could get on the street.

There are loads of people getting Diamorphine right now at hospitals, shouldn't some of them become addicts as they leave the ER's?  It does not happen and this video explains it beautifully.

No doubt, this video is guaranteed to change your views on drugs forever.

The Introvert’s Brain: Why They Might “Think Too Much”

 .

Introversion

.

What is an introvert/introversion ?

This article from Tiny Buddha website explains this in detail.

As an introvert thinks, s/he connects all the dots, linking past and present experiences much more than extroverts would.

They are naturally empathetic and will be the ones that best offer comfort and support when others are down. What they say or do, they have thought through carefully.

They are trusted for their steadiness and thoroughness, and ability to understand complexities.

Adopt a introvert in your life! :-)

.

LSD

.

The good news about the benefits of psychedelics just keeps on coming!  This time its LSD.

The study, The paradoxical psychological effects of lysergic acid diethylamide, published this week in the journal Psychological Medicine, examined the acute and mid-term psychological effects of the psychedelic drug.

What happened after the drug was administered?  it produced strong psychological effects that included heightened mood, increased optimism and trait openness were observed after two weeks.

Moreover, Another recent study found evidence that psychedelic drugs could help reduce domestic violence, as they cause people to behave "more peacefully and compassionately".

One explanation about the effect of these substances is that they can transform people's lives by providing profoundly meaningful spiritual experiences that highlight what matters most."
