Dennis McKenna: Legal Psychedelics Could End The Antidepressant Industry
.
.
The harsh reality of big pharma is that there is over prescribing of SSRI antidepressants as money making band-aid solutions for conditions that may be easily treatable with one or two sessions of psychoactive treatment.
Incredible is it not?
The reality is that with with Psilocybin, dimethyltryptamine, mescaline, tetrahydrocannabinol and other psychedelic substances, pharma companies can't make any money out of them because they exist since the beginning of times and have been used back thousands of years in human history.
Listen to Dennis McKenna shed some light into this appalling context.

Scientists studied what psychedelics do to the brain
.
.
We are hearing this note more and more every day: psychedelics actually have practical therapeutic uses.
In one study, the conclusion was that controlled exposure to psilocybin could have long-lasting medical and spiritual benefits. But the right dosage has to be taken as Johns Hopkins researchers found out. What came out of this experiment? It provoked long-lasting psychological growth and helped the volunteers to find peace in their lives, all without side effects.
Another study published in 2010 conducted research into whether psilocybin can lend some comfort to terminal cancer patients — finding evidence that it reduced death anxiety and experienced significantly less depression.
One thing's for certain, this is the beginning of a new era in the use of psychoactive drugs to help with modern day pathologies. Governments are just beginning to loosen its restrictions on medical uses of these mind altering substances, and doing so very slowly.

HOW DOES CANNABIS TREAT EPILEPSY?
.
.
Epilepsy is no joking matter. More than 2.3 millions Americans live with it.
Epileptic seizures are caused by abnormal electrical discharges, or misfiring, among brain cells. This misfiring results in convulsions of the body, sometimes severely altered senses, and often the loss of consciousness.
It is not the first time we hear that Cannabis can help and even be a valid treatment option for epilepsy. The problem as usual with Cannabis is the restrictions Drug Enforcement agencies put on clinical trials.
The article goes on explaining how many ancient cultures where using cannabis to treat epilepsy and other seizure disorders and how the conventional treatment that exists today have negative side effects that are not bearable.
But until cannabis is removed from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act — which legally defines it as more dangerous and addictive than cocaine and methamphetamines and completely lacking medical benefits — no human trials will occur.

This Is How You're Going to Get Laid in the Future
.
.
This is a cool article by VICE. It takes a look at the future of dating.... Looks like those dating apps are here to stay... A Global WedIndex report claimed that 91 million people worldwide use dating apps, with around 50 million people on Tinder alone.
So what is in for the future of these apps?
Apparently dating apps will become more niche; they will start tapping into the average Joe/Jane market. This is the case of Ten, an app that matches you to people in a similar looks-league to yourself.
We're likely to see a more invasive, in-depth app come along pretty soon—one that notes "waist size, breast size, penis size, all out there on the app, ready [for users to] choose [their] perfect match.
They also take a look at the virtual reality worlds, Fundawear make wearable underwear that can be remotely vibrated by a partner, while Frixion—a beta social network platform—uses "real-time, bi-directional force feedback telemetry to achieve convincing and organic intimacy." In other words: you use your computer to make a robot fuck someone.
