amazing first flush! I bought the smaller box at first but contaminated cause I was too naive. now I got this, and I checked that the temperature remained always at 28°, and I kept them always under a table, not so much light.Rating

300g of fresh mushroom, and they were growing close to the sides of the box (the center was completely untouched).
at least 20 big mushrooms of 10 grams each. wow!
6 days after the first pins they were ready. still I have many little mushrooms growing on the very sides. I haven't picked them yet. I'll wait 2 days so they maybe grow above the substrate and I can pick them without removing the cake.

I took the risk to fruit my substrate using a different technique than instructed and was greatly rewarded. I got two 8 liter storage boxes, cut my substrate into half and crumbled each half in the boxes, mixed with hydrated coco coir at a 1:1 ratio. This is called shoebox tek. The boxes yielded 250 and 300 grams wet in only their first flush. Starting the second flush now. This technique does add around 10-14 days to the growth time as the mycelium will have to recover and colonize the coir, but it's worth it. This is a slightly more advanced technique so if you plan to try it, make sure to do diligent research on the subject first. Fruiting this way increases the risk of contamination and will also void any "guarantee" as the growkit is not intended to be used this way. Lookup shoebox tek on shroomery. First time attempting to grow and this kit did not disappoint! I just followed the steps as advised and kept everything very sterile. Thought it wasn't working at the start but after 2 weeks I noticed them starting! Very fun and exciting process! I've had two flushes with over 450g between the two and hopefully more flushes to come! Delivery was about 3 days which was fantastic. Couldn't recommend more! In the end I got 3 reasonable flushes, and then some very small ones. Overall i got something like 500 g out of the kit. Potency is as expected, general dosage recommendations apply.Rating
One thing you should be careful about: If you actually follow the advice of misting every day (4 sprays), the kit may get waaay to moist. Too high humidity causes pins to die off. I think the overly humid environment killed some of my first flush. I then stopped misting and only sprayed when the kit was visibly dry (no more droplets on the bag). Worked perfectly. I live in Spain and they arrive quickly in 3-4 days even in the situation right now with the coronavirus. I also ordered the heat map and put them behind my desk. Followed the instructions and I have got 180gr in the first flush :) Half of it I will eat fresh in the following 2 weeks and the rest I'm drying in the oven with the lowest temp possible (around 40 degrees celsius) with a spoon in the door in order to not increase the humidity while drying before I get a dehydrator. Yesterday I eat 20 grs fresh and I loved the trip very introspective for me. I will go microdosing in the following weeks and with the dried ones I will go for a more intense trip.
